Alex Lane is a wealthy, image-conscious student who wields privilege and cruelty against those he considers beneath him, and whose in-game avatar, Alexion, rises to become one of the world’s most powerful and contested players. Beneath a practiced mask of confidence, he carries deep insecurity rooted in his relationship with his powerful father and the loss of his mother, driving cycles of ambition, humiliation, and reinvention. He moves between rivalry and uneasy alliance with those he once tormented, gradually uncovering unsettling truths about his own family and identity.
