Alive — defeated by Dom in single combat, publicly disciplined and humiliated within the guild
Sean is an ambitious raid captain and officer in The Jackals guild, a lightning-wielding swordsman who leads dungeon expeditions and enforces his guild leader’s ruthless orders against rivals. Confident and quick to use false camaraderie to mask violent intent, he becomes a recurring antagonist to Dom and Adrian, escalating a personal vendetta as his own standing within the guild slips. Driven by pride and a need to reclaim his reputation, his rivalry with Dom builds toward a reckoning that tests his skill, his honor, and his place among The Jackals.

Book 5.5: Happy
Sean is a raid captain and officer in The Jackals guild in Aislen, a lightning-wielding swordsman who leads dungeon raids against the local goblin population. Acting on orders from guild leader Booker, he approaches Dom and Adrian under the pretense of recruiting them for a routine goblin dungeon raid, using false camaraderie to mask an assessment mission: determine whether the pair are valuable enough to recruit or dangerous enough to eliminate. During the raid he lets Dom rescue his failing party from a boss creature, then electrocutes Dom the moment he is vulnerable, declaring the venture over. He tortures and kills Adrian and Wingman in front of a paralyzed Dom, revealing that Booker ordered the elimination because Dom and Adrian’s economic activity threatened The Jackals’ monopoly on Aislen’s crafting trade, and sacrifices several of his own men to stage the ambush.
Believing the pair gone for good, Sean resumes raiding the goblin dungeon on his usual schedule, dismissing signs that the goblins have organized against him. The goblins spring a trap during what he expects to be a routine sweep, collapsing the cave around his raid; pinned and taking losses, he is forced to set aside his rivalry with fellow raid leader Nova and call on her for rescue. The humiliation compounds a string of failures, including a recent loss of much of his raid in the jungle, and Sean fixates on killing Dom personally to restore his standing, chafing against Booker’s more cautious strategy and drawing Nova’s open mockery.
When The Jackals mount their assault on Dom and Adrian’s goblin-allied stronghold at Boomtown, Sean leads the ground forces, driven as much by the roughly $20,000 in gear Dom has stolen from him as by the desire for a personal rematch. He splits off to hunt Adrian alone in revenge for an earlier encounter in which he cost Wingman an eye, but is quickly outmatched and appeals to the game’s gamemaster jurisdiction rules to save himself; Wingman captures him and tortures him at length, mutilating him and eventually killing him while he clings to threats of the guild’s eventual victory. He returns enraged and humiliated by the manner of his death, openly challenging Booker’s leadership, and is publicly disciplined by Booker as a result. Seeking to reclaim his honor, Sean goads Dom into single combat; Dom turns a Chinese finger trap into a weapon against him, defeating him decisively and ending his bid for redemption.
